US Tax Tools

Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-04-19

These Terms govern your use of USTaxTools (ustax.tools, "the Site"). By accessing or using the Site you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. What we provide

USTaxTools is a collection of free tax calculators and explanatory content relating to US federal and state taxation. Calculations run in your browser using published IRS, SSA, and state tax agency rates. We may update, withdraw, or modify calculators and content at any time without notice.

2. Not tax advice

All content and calculator output is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice, and does not create any adviser–client relationship.

Tax rules change and individual circumstances vary. Before relying on any figure, verify it against the IRS or your state tax agency, or consult a CPA, enrolled agent, or tax attorney.

3. No warranty of accuracy

While we take reasonable care to reflect published IRS and state rates correctly, we make no warranty that the Site, its calculations, or its content are accurate, complete, current, or fit for any particular purpose. Where an edge case is ambiguous, the calculator uses a documented assumption stated in the Methodology.

4. Intellectual property

All text, design, code, and data compilations on the Site are protected by US copyright. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may not:

  • republish content on another website;
  • scrape, mirror, or systematically extract the calculators or their output;
  • sell, sub-license, or commercially exploit any part of the Site; or
  • remove copyright, trademark, or attribution notices.

IRS publications and state tax-agency materials linked from the Site are US Government works and are in the public domain.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Site for any unlawful purpose;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access, probe for vulnerabilities, or disrupt service availability;
  • introduce malware, excessive automated traffic, or scraping in breach of section 4.

6. Third-party links and ads

The Site links to third-party websites and displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. We do not control and are not responsible for those third parties' content, accuracy, or data handling. Clicking a link or ad takes you to a third party on whose terms and privacy practices you should inform yourself.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, USTaxTools and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss (including lost tax refunds, penalties, interest, or business loss) arising from reliance on the Site. Your sole remedy if you are dissatisfied is to stop using the Site.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates the most recent revision. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing law

These Terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except that nothing in these Terms limits statutory rights that cannot be waived under the law of your state of residence.
